in the Chancellor’s Mall

There are exhibitors offering free health assessments, advice on healthly living, excercise, smoking and alcohol abuse. There are free complementary medicine taster workshops, reflexology, reiki, head massage, yoga, etc.

The Bolton Market Loyalty card helps you save money!

Customers of Bolton Market can now save money each time they make a purchase at selected stalls at the market. Just pay for things in the normal way, e.g. cash, and hand over your Bolton Market Loyalty card. They will do the rest.

10% reward every time you spend

At the end of each week, the total amount of all of your Bolton Market purchases are added up and 10% cashback loyalty reward is added to your account ready for you to collect the next time you visit the market. You can shop as often as you like and if your card has been registered with sQuid you can view your transactions online.

How do I get a Bolton Market Loyalty card?

You can get a loyalty card from the Customer Service office at the Market. Each card costs £2 but once registered online with sQuid, £2 will be added to the Bolton Market purse for you to collect the next time you visit.

Checking the loyalty reward on your card

Your card has two separate purses on it

When you register your card you will notice that you have two separate purses attached to your sQuid account.

1. sQuid purse to pay for small value items

You cannot pay with sQuid at Bolton Market. Yet. You can however use the ‘Pay with sQuid’ purse on your card to pay for small value items instead of using cash at other locations in Bolton. Click here to find out where.

2. Your Bolton Market Loyalty purse

This purse will record and show the purchases you have made at Bolton Market that qualify for loyalty reward. It will also show you your loyalty balance and when and where you made each purchase.

Login to your account to:
- Check your balance at any time
- View your transactions to check your rewards

Spending your Bolton Market loyalty reward

Once you have at least £5 on your loyalty purse…

THE POUND IN YOUR POCKET

This year, NUS will be hosting a special commission on The Future of Student Financial Support. NUS have opened a survey, where they will be asking a number of questions about student finance, in order to shape the proposal of an alternative set of support systems. To thank you for your time NUS will enter you into a draw to win a cash prize of £500 or one of ten £50 cash prizes.

In recent times, much emphasis has rightly been placed on debating the way that universities are funded, with the policy direction changing substantially as a result of the Browne Review and the election of the current coalition government.

But this has meant that not enough attention has been paid to issues of student financial support – the pound in students’ pockets.

NUS want to investigate the costs faced by students today, and the impact of the complex range of support measures available to them, finding out if the right people are getting the right help, in the right way.

They will look at international comparisons, putting to the test the often-made point about England’s support system being the most generous in the world.

They want to involve students and students’ unions in carrying out research into under-examined corners of the financial landscape for students so they can get a real sense of how financial pressures impact on students in all their diversity.

Survey Launch

NUS have launched a major membership-wide research project, looking at the experiences of students in schools, colleges and universities in England, from undergraduate up to postgraduate research. They want to know what the experience is of support, how it effects participation, performance and well-being.

NUS will present an alternative to the current piecemeal set of support systems, and they need your help to do it, to let them know what matters and help them to shape the future of student support.

NUS have released a survey which will ask you questions about how you fund your living costs whilst studying and what you think of the support you receive. So, if you are studying for your degree, masters, PHD, If you are an apprentice, or on any course at a college or other learning provider in England, then we want to hear from you about what you think works well – and what might need changing – about how you are supported.

To thank you for your time NUS will enter you into a draw to win a cash prize of £500 or one of ten £50 cash prizes.

The survey should take around 20 minutes to complete and can be completed confidentially.
