Governance

In 2008 our new Constitution was passed, you can download a copy of this from the link on the left. The Constitution is a legally binding document that has a set of terms and conditions by which the Students' Union is run at the University of Bolton. There are lots of changes to the way that the Constitution governs the Students' Union and we feel, along with your support at the last AGM, that this is the correct way to govern our Union.

Although the new Constitution is now complete and passed, there are still a number of outstanding bye-laws and schedules to be completed.  The Students' Union truly would value the input of as many people as possible to make sure that the Union is run in the way that students want it to be run.

Currently, the sports and societies bye-laws are being redrafted, and the Union is trying to get as much input from the current offices of teams or societies to ensure that the sports and societies are run in a way that they themselves feel is fair.

If anyone has a particular interest in these schedules and bye-laws then please don't hesitate to contact the Students' Union and let us know how you want your Students' Union to be run.
